Reefer Madness! Tell Your Children

Reefer Madness revolves around the melodramatic events that ensue when students are lured by pushers to try weed - from a hit and run, to manslaughter, suicide, conspiracy to murder, assault, hallucinations, and descent into madness.

"Reefer Madness" (originally made as Tell Your Children and sometimes titled The Burning Question, Dope Addict, Doped Youth, and Love Madness) is a 1936 American film directed by Louis J. Gasnier. 

Originally financed by a church group as a morality tale  about the dangers of cannabis use., the film was re-cut by producer Dwain Esper for the exploitation circuit, escaping censorship under the guise of moral guidance.

​The film has since spawned a cult following, with multiple theatrical adaptations (including an Off-Broadway run starring Kristen Bell and Alan Cumming) and a film version of the musical in 2005 which added Ana Gasteyer and Neve Campbell ("Scream") to the cast.
