THE BED BY THE WINDOW | Scary Stories Around the Fire

In the decaying wing of an old hospital, three men share a room with only one window at the very end. The man furthest from the window grows jealous of the man who enjoys the outside view, eager to see the world for himself. 

Adapted by Bryan Renaud, and told by Terri Lynne Hudson. "The Bed by the Window" was famously told in Alvin Schwartz's "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark" anthology.
